Welcome to the Cyber-Geography Research Bulletin. This is a regular, free, email bulletin to inform you of changes and new additions made to the Geography of Cyberspace Directory and the Atlas of Cyberspaces on the Cyber-Geography Research web site. The bulletin is distributed about once a month, depending on how much time I have available for my cyberspace exploration.

This bulletin is available on the Web at http://www.cybergeography.org/bulletin-1-10.html

We are happy to acknowledge the support of CORPEX. They are kindly sponsoring the Cyber-Geography Research web site.

New for the "Mapping the Internet" section:

* The NetGeo service offers an Internet Geographic Database. This provides a latitude and longitude for key Internet identifiers such as IP addresses, domain names and AS numbers. It is being developed by Caida. (http://www.caida.org/Tools/NetGeo/)

* Three different projects mapping the "geography" of IP Space,

- The IP-cartography / IP-chronography project, described as a "metalinguistic code and interactive representation of Internet-space". Created Sergey de Rocambol, Anna Nikolayeva, Ilya Komarov (the author of program IP-cartographer). (http://www.atriumatics.wn.ru/ip-cart/ip,en.st )

- The 1:1project by Lisa Jevbratt, C5. This provides several distinct interfaces/visualization of IP address space (hierarchical, every, petri and random). (http://www.c5corp.com/1to1/index.html)

- IP Address Space Utilization, by Sean McCreary and kc claffy at Caida. Aims to give a visual answer to the key question, "How much of the Internet address space is used?" (http://www.caida.org/IPv4space/)

New in the "Internet Statistics" section:

* Latency measurement for the UUNET network. (http://www.uunet.com/network/latency/)

*AT&T IP Network Status. (http://ipnetwork.bgtmo.ip.att.net/)

New for the "References" section:

* The TeleGeography 2000 report is now available. Packed with useful stats, maps and commentary. (http://www.telegeography.com/Publications/tg00.html)
